Comprehensive Planning

  • Northern Lehigh School District’s Comprehensive Plan and subplans are contained on the nlsd.org webpage. Our comprehensive plan outlines the major goals of the district for the time period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2025. These goals were formulated by the Comprehensive Planning Team, after conducting a needs assessment, reviewing a variety of educational data, and eliciting feedback from stakeholders in the district through multiple surveys and other means. Subplans include Student Services Plan (6 yrs), Gifted Education Plan (6 yrs), Induction Plan (6 yrs), Professional Development Plan (3 yrs) and Special Education Plan (3 yrs). The overarching plan and subplans were posted for 28 days for public review, beginning in June 2022. The comprehensive plan and subplans were voted on and approved at the board meeting on August 8, 2022 and submitted as required to the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) by August 31, 2022, the deadline for Phase III districts.

The District’s Comprehensive Guidance (339) Plan is posted below for public review through the March 13, 2023, board meeting, at which point the Board will vote to approve it. The Comprehensive Guidance (339) Plan will be submitted as required to the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) by March 31, 2023, the deadline for Phase III districts.
